hostile grounds

These cactus have "jumping" balls that will cling to anything or anyone that gets within an inch of it. Once they adhere to your skin, there are a dozen of barbed needles to pull out. I think a cholla attack is a type of initiation innocently inflicted on all desert newcomers.

A bridal shop east of 16th Street and McDowell Rd
Marriage may be a fading industry among white Americans, but the Hispanic community is keeping up the quota. Funny how the bars seem to almost imply a certain irony.
